In case my panache for useless, fifty cent words hasn’t put it front and center, I adore comedy and things that make me say, “Hmmmmmmmm.”
Both of those are summed up in the greatness of Stephen Colbert. His writers are great, and his delivery is spot on. On his show, “The Colbert Report,” he has a segment called “The Word,” which is about 50 percent hurled over the heads of his audience. The other half hits them right in the face, and that’s the best part.
Here, he taps into Christmas, atheism and God. Genius!
