I once heard an eloquent preacher say something I’ll never forget about humility, “The people gather to see Jesus, not the ass he rode in on.”
Now, as the church was bursting with emotion and folk clamoring praises at the top of the lungs, that’s a settling description that all pulpit pimps should heed. However, it made my non-linear mind to consider what said donkey would say about his 15 minutes of fame, if he could?
Thanks to this ingenious video clip from ZekeTheDonkey found on God Tube, we now know what he would say… and in nicely crafted iambic pentameter too. Who knew they were so sententious?! I usually reserved that haughty distinction for Mr. Ed.
