In a selfless and sacrificial act, we have God doing what he does best amidst the horrendous claims, allegations and facts throughout the saga of fraudulent cancer victim and praise leader Michael Guglielmucci.

His wife of seven years will stay faithful and committed to the dude while he processes through his own spiritual sex, lies and videotape.

In a word, “WOW”.

“I know that I love him, I know that much,” [Amanda Guglielmucci] said. “We’re just not going to rush anything, we’re gonna walk through the process, however slowly it needs to happen, in order for the healing and restoration to be complete and then we’ll go from there.”

It can easily be argued that women stay with noted celebrities, politicans and athletes through their discretions because of money and notoriety. Amanda, whom we should just call “Superwoman” can’t say that.

Why? Michael Guglielmucci is not famous – he’s infamous! There is no money because his parents are ensuring the public all the proceeds from the majestic song, “Healer” are going to charity and every cent from the cancer donations are being returned (and high kudos for that). So what’s left?

Love – that of a wife and that of the healer he sang about with passion and vigor.

Jesus speaks through the Apostle Paul, “My strength is made perfect in weakness.” This story is Exhibit A. The Guglielmuccis are ridden with weakness, yet, this story emanates strength, fortification and a firm foundation. How? The power and love of God.

Listen, I have multiple issues of anger, frustration and bewilderment with Michael Guglielmucci, but what can you say – with a clear, Christian conscience – about Amanda’s faithfulness? Nothing but stand in awe of her support and in the faithfulness of Jesus.

“I never questioned it, when you love someone you trust them. I had no reason not to trust him,” she said.  “Perhaps I feel a little bit foolish in this, hindsight’s a fabulous thing . . . but I’m trying not to beat myself up.” Mrs Guglielmucci even quit work to look after her ailing husband. Mrs Guglielmucci said her faith in God had remained unmoved throughout the ordeal.

OK, maybe stand and applaud a little. Good on ya’. Prayer for her saints, she’s going to need it.

Most evangelists or pastors in the news these days are accused of having sticky fingers, but we have discovered a new realm of “DOH!” with Michael Guglielmucci and his panache for the extravagant faux pas.

In case you haven’t heard, Guglielmucci conned the nations out of money by using an aggressive cancer to pay for a certain fetish he had, and boy does the news travel fast.

Check out his Wikipedia page (hence the “Wiki Fingers” reference. Hey, it’s late. Give a brother a break).

Now, I realize any concerned (or concocting) soul can edit this page, and saying “Well, I saw it on Wikipedia” is almost as credible as seeing Barry Bonds hit a home run as he says, “Oh no! I have never taken beef ‘roids!”

However, this mess travels fast! Newly added to his page are:

  • Guglielmucci admitted that his claims about having an aggressive form of cancer, supposedly diagnosed in 2006 were untrue.
  • He is no longer serving in active ministry, and is now seeking professional help.
  • All of AdelaideNow’s stories are referenced (HiScrivener’s source of information on this tale of woe.)

And? Well, it’s what’s missing that is peculiar. That wonderful video of dude singing with his nose full of an oxygen tube? It’s gone. It was there last week when this mess began.

I wonder if Hillsongs took it down claiming the ubiquitous “copyright infringement” policy. And if they did, what a joke that would be. It wasn’t copyright infringement when they thought Guglielmucci was on the up-and-up. But now that he is on the down-and-out, not so much.

Stay classy, people.

At least, that’s what this dimwit did when his excruciating facial features and tomfoolery became evangelical legend (and a piece of fraudulent televangelist folklore).

Oh well, I’m sure there will be more from this story, but until then, a litmus test… let’s see how long this video stays online. HiScrivener sets the over/under at three weeks, which is three weeks longer than his freakin’ MySpace page should last. Can’t someone call the cops on that?! Place your bets, Wall Watchers.

Over the past few days, the Wall has chronicled one of the worst frauds in Christianity as Michael Guglielmucci – creator of the amazing song “Healed” and two-year combatant of an “aggressive cancer” – lied about the whole thing.

Now, the world knows why.

In an article in Australia’s Adelaide Now, we learn about a decade-long fight not with cancer, but with porn… and THAT’S why he created this lascivious legerdemain – to PAY FOR IT!

Mr Guglielmucci says the reason behind his fictitious cancer story was to hide his 16-year obsession with pornography. “For over 16 years I have struggled with an addition to adult pornography as a result of this secret life of sin my body would often breakdown… I’d report the cause of my symptoms simply as illnesses and I’ve thrown my life into a ministry for many years trying to compensate for my sin.”

Hey Michael, stay classy. You know, this just renders me speechless. And that’s saying something considered my knack for vociferousness and punditry.

He tells the world he has cancer, sings beloved worship but rakes in donations all in an effort to pay for three-minute webisodes and filthy chat. Are you serious? Now that’s a spiritual tug-of-war of the highest order. And now, because his spinal tap shows YELLOW, he has his parents – founders of the church in which he sang that song – talking first, cringing from a broken heart and a shattered story.

Sharonne and I witnessed these episodes and pained and wept over his suffering. Michael wrote the song Healer because he wanted God to set him free from his addiction but hid it behind the lie of a fabricated illness. Once he had started down this track he felt he couldn’t stop so he continued to act out this sickness, feeling he had gone too deep into the lie.

I can’t begin to tell you how much this is hurting us on the inside. A few weeks ago Mike had a dream of Jesus on the cross looking down on him saying, ‘the truth will set you free’ and so he decided to confess and bring everything out into the open.

Well, it’s out there all right. Even Guglielmucci has released a statement and granted an interview, and it’s not much better on the ears:

“This is who I am … I’m addicted to the stuff, it consumes my mind,” he said of pornography in his first interview on Today Tonight since the story was first revealed on AdelaideNow last week… “I’m sick and this is why I had to come up some sort of explanation of what was happening in my body.”

“I’ve been hiding who I am for so long. I can honestly say to you that the last two years have been hell for me physically, emotionally, but I never sat down and said … let’s try and fool the world.”

Guess what, slick. You did, and in the process, gave a middle finger to the faith of millions around the globe. People gave you their money, prayers, intercession… and oh yeah, more money. It was all in an effort to see God glorified and you healed. And for what? Your jollies? Why not just take your gi-tar and panhandle at the town square? At least then you aren’t messing with the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, just yourself.

So, now you are stripped of preaching credentials with the Australian Christian Churches [Down under’s version of the Assemblies of God], brought shame and humiliation to your family’s church and STILL a porn addict. You may be good at writing worship, but a terrible gambler.

“I’m so sorry, not just for lying to my friends and my family even about a sickness, but I’m sorry for a life of saying I’m something I’m not … from this day on I’m telling the truth.”

That’s refreshing. Because I pretty much think you will HAVE TO in order to comply with the cops and the soon-to-come HUGE law suit coming to your front door. The saints will be paid back. The Church won’t let you back in a pulpit. And worship leaders everywhere are scrapping “Healer” from their playlists.

Your parents may be handling this on the up-and-up, but you Mike, are down-and-out. Get healed yourself. That’s the thing about the Church, they strongly believe in forgiveness. Who knows? Maybe that should be your next song.

NEW BRICKHOUSE SERIES ALERT – HiScrivener will follow this one like a shadow to a fat dude. IJS.

Yesterday, in case you haven’t heard, the Christian world (and its respective blogosphere) created mushroom cloud of toxic “What the eff” posts about the guy in this picture.

Each one of them, like the one on the Wall, screaming internationally as Michael Guglielmucci – Hillsong collaborator and the author of Christian anthem “Healer” – admitted the “aggressive cancer” impetus of his ministry was an utter and complete sham.

For two years, the world sent him love, support and a truckload of cash. Upon hearing the news, it’s easy to understand why some folk demand a refund from this larcenist. And in case it’s not clear, here’s a story excerpt from Australia’s Adelaide Now:

Another believer, Caroline, 46, donated $800 after seeing Mr Guglielmucci perform at the Edge Church at Reynella about five months ago. The grandmother, who is receiving a disability pension, was saving the money to take her four-year-old grandson – who is wheelchair-bound with cerebral palsy – to Sydney for a holiday.

“I feel like a real idiot,” she said. “I saw Michael talk and sing and he’s so very charismatic. I decided to donate the money because I thought it could benefit more people, but what a con.”

Sweet Caroline (Oh, come on! You had to see that coming!) is one of thousands that believed the B.S. this cat was shoveling. To which I say, how could you not? Have you seen the video of HIM SINGING THAT SONG?! You want to discuss anointing and unadulterated worship, check out the first post on the Wall in this brickhouse series and get back to me. This is music that would make your knees bend in genuflection involuntarily.

And now, instead of sitting in the confines of a cold, dry jail cell, Guglielmucci is lying on a plush leather couch in some psychiatrist’s office:

His lawyer revealed yesterday that the inspirational preacher was receiving psychiatric help after confessing to faking a two-year battle with terminal cancer.

Listen, I am handling this with kid gloves, because the relentless onslaught of mental jibes I would like to unleash on this dude just won’t come out. So, thanks to Jesus for that. I implore people to watch that video in the previous post because you just can’t fake that. No one – save Lucifer himself – can derive that kind of heavenly splendor out of such a swarthy place. There has to be a glimmer of glory in there somewhere. Doesn’t there?

I have to believe THAT is what wrote this song. THAT is what inspired him to sing praises of that caliber. THAT is what allowed him to finally admit this fleecing of the saints. And THAT is what is going to cause him to finally meet the HEALER he lied so much about for the previous two years.

It takes a seriously twisted and repugnant dude to pull off this stunt. One that should have A LOT less facial hair if he was taking proper medicine for CANCER. (Seriously?! No one thought of that in two whole years?!)

But God… but God.

We all have issues and we have all been forgiven for them. However, a special prayer should go out to the countless and faceless thousands whom supported Mikey here over his ailment. It may take them much longer to get over his issues than it will take Guglielmucci to do the same. Come on, “Healer”, do your thing. We can worry about that whole “reap what you sow” thing later.

You may not know – or be able to pronounce – the name Michael Guglielmucci. No takers? Well, if you are a fan of Hillsongs and Vineyard Worship, you should be familiar with the song, “Healer”.

Shoot, I sang that with tears welling up in church a few weeks ago. That song is great. It’s anointed. It’s blessed. It’s so full of passion. IT’S SOOOOOOOOOOO FAKE, according to this story in Australia’s Adelaide Now.

For a refresher, the video is below. For more evidence about what kind of a tool Guglielmucci really is – and it’s important to the integrity of this story – pay close attention to :31 on the time bar. G’head, I’ll wait…

Vodpod videos no longer available.

You see, this majestic and sacrosanct song was written out of the anguish of a cancer victim. Yeah, Guglielmucci. Well, for two years, HE FAKED IT! See the oxygen tube in his face? He performed this with bible in-hand, worship in-mind and deception in-heart. Amazing.

Does no one have fear of the Lord anymore?! You realize if it weren’t for Jesus, this [enter your own expletive here if you must] would be fertilizing daffodils with the quickness? That’s some dangerous holy ground he wanted to trod, and apparently he did it alone.

Edge Church International’s executive pastor Jonathan Fontanarosa said Mr Guglielmucci had “made it clear that he is not sick”… “But we’re waiting on further investigation to find out the full truth,” he said. “The church is in shock, we were totally unaware of the situation … It also said Mr Guglielmucci’s wife and family were unaware of the deception.”

Giving new meaning to 'Up your nose with a rubber hose'

Giving a sad, new meaning to UP YOUR NOSE WITH A RUBBER HOSE

Oh yeah, his own family founded the church where he sang this. Um, a regretful MEMO to this fraud’s family: If someone you love has “an aggressive form of cancer” and you don’t see any major problems other than the supposed whooping cough, take some time out and go to the friggin’ doctor with him!

So, as the PK, Guglielmucci had an instant audience to tell about his unfortunate ‘ailment’. And boy did he, as the prayers… and the cash… began to pour in. The story doesn’t say what led to him admitting the whole thing was a sham, but I would like to think God finally said, “When.”

Now the local police are investigating the church’s assets to see what cars, women and drugs he boughter, how he spent the money he was given by believers around the world that was touched by his story and this song.

Man, there is a special, balmy place in hell for this dude. Michael Guglielmucci, I hope you truly believe the words to that anthem you penned because only Jesus can ‘heal’ this mess before the deceiver comes to collect his rewards. Next time, just pray. It worked for my mother who actually had cancer, you twit!
