Marriage to be “redefined” sooner than you think

gay_marriageProposition 8 failed. Liberal states have attempted to adopt policy. And Hollywood has been its advocate since the dawn of time.Yet, gay marriage has yet to really catch on.

Until now and some dead guy named Noah Webster got his etymology on, and redefine “marriage” himself.

Regardless of how long the author of our current lexicon has been entombed, he was able to send Hollywood a “Get Well Soon” card and a nice middle finger to the rest of us God-loving folk.

One of the nation’s most prominent dictionary companies has resolved the argument over whether the term “marriage” should apply to same-sex duos or be reserved for the institution that has held families together for millennia: by simply writing a new definition.

They can do that?! This is the same book that used to define “marriage” by quoting Hebrews 13:4. And now, the authors and publishers feel that whole Bible reference is a smidge antiquated, so they get out the Husky pencil and fat eraser and let ‘er rip.

Forget the marriage… THIS is an abomination! If anyone agrees, here’s a certain address and phone number you may be interested in forwarding to your entire rolodex:

47 Federal St
Springfield, MA 01105
(413) 734-3134

Now then, please enjoy this video and don’t mind the eerie music. I’m going back to perusing my thesaurus and searching for synonyms of fraud, atheistic and iconoclast.

  1. Ah, the very popular, and might I add quite pitiful, argument of marriage being between a man and a woman. Yes, yes it is between a man and a woman. But not always. Not anymore. Men are now marrying men, and women are now marrying women. And there’s nothing wrong with that, no sir there is not. Or, if you do prefer, no ma’am. I’d like to throw in, while I’m at it, that Prop 8 is utterly ridiculous. What in the world ever happened to America being a free country? Yes, I know that at one point that meant that African-Americans were free from slavery, but it also has a very different, but equally… justifiable meaning. All humans are free and equal. Free to love- now, now. Before you argue that one, let me say this; Would you let anyone, anyone in the world, tell you who to love? What if someone told you one day that you’re not allowed to love anyone with blonde hair. Or, perhaps, blondes are not free to love brunettes. Almost 100% of you (anyone saying otherwise is unbelievably stupid) would say that restrictions such as those are pointless, and wrong. Yet, many of you would, unlike with the former, agree with one who tells you boys may not love boys. Girls may not love boys. How incredibly idiotic you must be! Love cannot be controlled! Care to disagree? For those of you who are quite in love with your spouse, try telling yourself that you are not allowed, as of now, to love him or her. Impossible, right? Ah, see? I was right! So it’s impossible to first of all say, and yes I am aware that this wasn’t included in the above article, gays don’t exist. Even if it’s not in the article, I’ve still pointed it out. My second point, though, is that, because love cannot be controlled, it is stupid to say that two people of the same gender should not be allowed to marry. Marriage is about love, is it not? And if you say no, then I say it should be. Because why would you commit to someone you don’t love? Back to my oh-so-valid point. Since marriage should be about love, it is wrong to believe that marriage should be strictly between a man and a woman. Now, don’t get me wrong, I respect that you all have a right to your own opinions, but in the same respect, don’t I? Ah, got you there, didn’t I?

  2. Joe says:

    Argh!

Beyond stupidity. Let’s just keep bending those rules until they are broken beyond repair. Let’s just keep moving that line of truth until we can’t recognize the lie.

Thanks HiScrivener. You just earned a spot on tomorrow’s “Link Love” post. (You’re already on my site’s blogroll.)
