Mosque and state in 2008

Campbell Brown, CNN resident hottie, brings up a salient yet shortsighted point:

You may find it hard to believe that this [Barack Obama rumored to be a Muslim] remains an issue in this campaign, but it does.

Now, IF he was indeed a carpet-totin’, praying-five-times-daily Muslim, it DOES matter to people of faith. They are many issues in this country that matter to the body of Christ, other than abortion.

So yes, his faith would come into play about assistance for faith-based organizations, taking care of the poor, lining up with churches and the like.

You may not get it, but a practicing faith in Christ matters to the Church. If he was a Muslim, given all the angst toward that 9-11 thing, it could ruffle some feathers among voters.

However, for anyone who hasn’t been doing homework but only reading the paraphenalia in the mail, Barack Hussein Obama is indeed a person of faith. For example:

In other words, his faith may be about convenience, ignorance and deliverance (from America… shout out to Rev. “I hate this country and white people” Wright), but it’s rooted in Jesus nonetheless. On with the story recalling a discriminatory dullard and her plight with John McCain:

Woman at rally: I don’t trust Obama. I have read about him and he’s an Arab.

Sen. John McCain: No ma’am, no ma’am. He’s a decent family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That’s what this campaign is all about. He’s not, thank you.

Yes, ma’am. You’re a twit and the whole country knows about the trailer from whence you came. But MEMO to Campbell Brown: Religion matters in this country. Although the U.S.A. doesn’t stand for the United SOVERIGNTY of America, there are many Christians in this country who consider the whole God to be tantamount when electing their leaders. No, abortion shouldn’t be the only issue to base a vote. No, the Body of Christ isn’t the most educated group of voters in this country. But yes, they hold their affection and allegiance to Christ seriously, so the next time you choose to rant and rave about religion in this country… go to a church that preaches the BIBLE and then give me a call.

Enjoy the debate, sweets! I know we will.
