I thought that would get your attention, you dirty-minded Wall watcher you.
Anywhoo, as now the media reconnoiters away on the presumptive republican Veep, Gov. Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a “task that is from God.”
No, really…
Now, the snarky liberal folk out there will say something like, “And I thought Muslim terrorists were the only ones in Iraq doing the will of God.” Har har, but beat you to it. So there. I get what Sarah Palin is saying, but oftimes going the evangelical route to discuss drilling for gas and fighting a war isn’t the smartest thing in the world.
She continued:
Palin told graduating students of the church’s School of Ministry, “What I need to do is strike a deal with you guys.” As they preached the love of Jesus throughout Alaska, she said, she’d work to implement God’s will from the governor’s office, including creating jobs by building a pipeline to bring North Slope natural gas to North American markets. “God’s will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that,” she said.
I get it. The Lord wants us to have dominion on this earth by not living on the backs of others creating more needs than we have goals. Also, I’m sure the Lord isn’t a fan of wars and carnage, only standing for the truth in the face of adversity. Politics is like that. A conflict in the Middle East is not.
In short, sweet Sarah, with a written speech (ergo last night when you wiped the floor with Obama and Biden), you are magnificent. However, your expository skills needs a tad brushing up to say what you mean and mean what you say.
Despite how eye-catching the headline is, other ne-er-do-wells may infer something completely different.

See, isn’t this EXACTLY what I was talking about in the previous post? Out of context snippet to hang a label. “Wacky Christian Fanatic One Heartbeat Away From Presidency”. False Witness. Plain and simple.
I’ll go out on a limb here because my dander is really up on all of this, but…I believe that God does number our steps. The job I’m in, the people I encounter, the decisions I make…He is a part of all of it and I pray every day to do His will. What, exactly, is wrong with that?
In a word, nothing. It’s just a shame for people that claim they walk with God don’t know the difference.
MM, thanks for your insight and candor. Keep it real and stop by often to the Wall.
Peace.
